Jam for the Soul 2021

5:00 pm JOAL RUSH (Headliner)
Joal Rush has been singing, playing the guitar, bass, drums & a smattering of piano since he was a kid
growing up in Camden. Blending influences of Folk/Pop/Rock & Soul, Rush has developed his own
style of “shimmering pop-rock” while performing live for the last couple of decades. He has shared
the stage with music biggies such as Darius Rucker, Edwin McCain, Styx, and Foreigner. He moved to
Nashville, TN in 2014 to write/record his later released Kaleidoscope Emotions. Other albums include
Imagination, Delightful Things and Wares. Rush’s acoustic performance and “strong, clear tenor voice
that cracks and warbles in all the right places” will kick off the concert in fine style.

6:15pm KT & FRIENDS
Kevin Taylor, aka KT, has dipped in and out of Camden’s music scene as a “great musician and sound
tech” for a decade plus. Strong on the technical side of the business (live sound/concert production),
the Camden native owned KT Music and Sound for ll years. His fans especially admire his talent for
getting local top-line musicians to join him for a rockin’ good time as KT & Friends. On stage tonight:
KT/bass and vocals, Robert Charles/guitar, and Tim Bordner/drums and vocals. Taylor is currently
Ridge Campus Paster at Cedar Creek Church in Batesville-Leesville, SC.

7:15 pm FAIR JAM
What began as local talent jamming together on Fair Street in the historic district soon emerged as
the popular Fair Jam. Tonight, band regulars Scott Jordan and Paul Hayes will play a fun, eclectic mix
of Acoustic Rock tinged with Bluegrass. With vocals by both, Scott Jordan will be on guitar and Paul
Hayes on mandolin.

8:15 pm THE SOLE PURPOSE BAND
With some of the best vocals and a killer rhythm section, The Sole Purpose Band has earned its
reputation as one of SC’s premier bands. Performing a crowd-pleasing blend of acoustic/electric Funk
and Soul, R&B, Rock, POP and Country, are band co-founders, Zeke Bennett (soulful vocals/rhythm
guitar) and lifetime musician Tim Bordner/drums and vocals, Robert Wilkinson/keyboard and vocals,
Josh Hubbard/bass, and Sam Roomian/guitar. Interestingly, Bordner currently serves on the FFTS Board.
